Please Be Respectful And Email Before You Visit
The old range that the SRC operated out of was on public property, the current range is not. Please respect the private property and avoid troubling other residents of the building about where the range is outside of the SRC operating hours. If you have questions about the SRC you can always contact the membership chairman..

Club Match Results
Not a huge turnout by any measure. It was good to find out how we can run a match with the limited space at the temporary digs. You can view the results here. Congratulations to all the participants and many thanks to the helpers.

Safety Course
The November safety course was completed by several new members who responded to our email invitation. Some people voiced a concern that the method of selecting prospective members for these safety courses was not fair, in that many did not have immediate access to email in order to be among the first 6 to respond. Future safety courses will be offered starting in January 2010, and invitations will be sent out to prospective members in the order we received your applications. There are currently about 100 on the wait list (many of which applied in 2008 and will be given preference). Due to resource constraints, at this time we can only offer safety courses to 6 people each month. The next six applicants in line will soon be individually contacted for the January safety course. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Now Accepting New Members !
The Club will be taking on new members on a limited basis starting this month (November). All new members are required to take a club level safety course, regardless of past experience or firearms license possession. An email for the November safety course was sent on November 5th to all those on our wait list. If you did not get this email, then you are not on our wait list. If you have an interest in joining our club and are not already on our wait list (i.e., did not receive an email invitation this week) please send an email to the membership chairman and request to be added to the wait list.
The response to this email invitation was immediate and as a result, the November class is now FULL! There will be more courses in the new year. Watch your inbox! More invitations will be emailed in the new year.

To all SRC 2007/2008 members:
Within the coming weeks you will be receiving a letter via Canada Post. This letter is an update on the club status, and a special membership renewal form. If you do not receive this letter by the second week of September, it may be due to our membership records not having your current mailing address. If this is the case, please contact the membership chairman with your correct mailing address and the letter will be resent to you.
At this time, we are only extending membership renewals to last season’s membership. However, if you were a member of the previous season (2006/2007) and were not able to renew your membership last season, and you wish to assist the club this season, you should also contact the membership chairman. No new memberships are being accepted at this time.

Thank you to the many people who have wished us well in our relocation and expressed interest in joining the club at that time.
We are continuing to negotiate with the city and are actively pursuing a solution for the next season. Please continue to check back here for updated status.
Good luck to those competing at that National Smallbore Championships that start this weekend !
June 2008
The Scarborough Rifle Club has been in operation at the same site since the mid 1960’s with an unblemished safety record. Many athletes who entered the sport though this club have gone on to to join the National Shooting Team and represent Canada at ISSF World Cups, World Championships, Commonwealth Games, PanAm Games, CAT Games and the Olympics. However as a casualty of amalgamation and the city of Toronto’s ineffective “City-Based Measures to Address Gun Violence” the city will no longer be allowing the SRC to book the range at the Don Montgomery Community and Recreation Center.
However the club will be in operation for regular shooting until at least June 26.
We are not taking on new members at this time, however if you are interested in joining the club when we find a new location please let the membership secretary know of your interest.
If you know of a suitable location or property that is accessible by public transit that may be of use to the club please let us know.
