2009-2010 WINTER MATCHES
JAN. 9 & 10, 2010 - SFC #5558
Here are the results from January. Things still seem to be going pretty well.
RESULTS: As noted in the match notice I’ll be using e-mail to send results to anyone for whom I have
an e-mail address; other competitors will get the results by Canada Post. At the moment it looks like about 75%
will go by e-mail - which I regard as an excellent percentage in terms of work reduction and cost-cutting.
It should also be noted that I tend to continue sending e-mail results to individuals who may not be
actively competing. If this is a nuisance please advise me and I’ll take your name off the e-mail list. For this - or if
you have other problems with the results please contact me (Lou Anderson: e-mail is

W., Hamilton, Ont. L8S 1G7) . I’ll be sending out the e-mail results as Adobe PDF files, which I think should
work for most of you.
INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS: Just a reminder that these are coming up in April. The notice for this
match will go out with the February LSBA results. I expect they will be very similar to last year.
CANADIAN AIRGUN GRAND PRIX: It’s time for me to make my annual pitch for assistance at this
match. I’m sure most of you are aware of the Canadian Airgun Grand Prix to be held at the Doubletree
International Plaza Hotel Feb. 19-21. This is a major airgun match with around 200 competitors - an interesting
and exciting event. It requires a lot of help from volunteers to make it run smoothly - and each year about this
time I have to ask for volunteers to help us out. The main times help is needed are Friday- 6:30 - 9:00PM;
Saturday- 8:30AM - 5:00PM; Sunday- 8:30AM - 5:00PM. Thursday afternoon and evening we are setting up for
the match and assembling the range - assistance then would be welcomed. Please note that previous experience is
helpful, but not at all necessary - we provide on-the-job training. I’m sure you would find it an interesting, if
somewhat hectic, experience. If you would like to help out please contact either Wayne Morris -

NATIONAL MATCHES: These are being held in Beachburg again this year - July 2-11.
OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS: I’ve not been able to do much with this until the Nationals dates were
established . Our traditional date is the weekend after the July long weekend - but that would be the swame time
as the Nationals. My present thinking is to have it near the end of June; perhaps June 19 & 20 - but this is to be
confirmed. I should have it settled in February.
