2008-2009 WINTER MATCHES
FEB. 21 & 22, 2009 - SFC #5497
Well, we’ve almost made it through another winter - one more match to go. I’m afraid losing
Scarborough has cost us quite a few shooters - but I won’t be sure about how we made out until I do the
financial tally. I would hope the results aren’t too bad.
NOTE: Because of a conflict in range use the March LSBA match at Peterborough is being fired a
week earlier - March 7 & 8 instead of March 14 & 15.
RESULTS: As noted in the match notice I’ll be using e-mail to send results to anyone for whom I have
an e-mail address; other competitors will get the results by Canada Post. At the moment it looks like about 75%
will go by e-mail - which I regard as an excellent percentage in terms of work reduction and cost-cutting.
It should also be noted that I tend to continue sending e-mail results to individuals who may not be
actively competing. If this is a nuisance please advise me and I’ll take your name off the e-mail list. For this - or
if you have other problems with the results please contact me (Lou Anderson: my phone number is 905-529-

INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS: These aren’t far away - coming up in April. The notice for this match is
being included with this mailing of results
CANADIAN AIRGUN GRAND PRIX: This went off very well - though attendance was lighter than
usual. Our sincere thanks to all of you who came out and worked at the match - it takes all that help to make it
go smoothly.
NATIONAL MATCHES: These are being held in Calgary this year - and we now have a date for them;
August 8 - 16.
OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS: I’ve held off on this until the Nationals dates were established. I now
expect them to be July 11 and 12 in Beachburg.
QUEBEC MATCHES: I’ve incorporated these into the schedule below. E-mail addresses for the
