HANDGUN 2005 – Ontario Provincial Handgun Championships
Crumlin Sportsmens Club provided an excellent location (for the fourth year in a row) for the Ontario Handgun Championships. This match has been a tradition in Ontario starting with the original Ontario Revolver Association over 40 year ago and has grown in size and reputation. There is something for everyone from all the ISSF pistol matches to the challenging NRA 2700, black powder and the every popular Saturday Night Special Match.
The fundraising dinner on Saturday night was superb (thanks to Bill and Shelley Sherman and their crew) and the Legal Fund Auction provided another $1,500.00 + for the cause. Many thanks to all those who donated items and spent their hard earned money. Special thanks goes to Cowan Insurance Brokers and ING Novex for their generous donations.
An endeavor of this size and complexity cannot be run without the hard work of many volunteers. Our hats are off to all of you. The continued success of this match is a direct result of your dedication and efforts. Many thanks also go to John Fitzgerald, Helen Smith and their overworked crew at the Crumlin Sportsmens Club as well as all the Range Officers: Wayne and Flo Morris, John Harper, the numerous Block Officers and to Jim and Judy Newman.
