I hope you all enjoyed the matches - I think all went well except for that ice storm that forced us to cancel the first Saturday at Pioneer. It was just a little too hazardous for Bonnie and for shooters west of Kitchener. Note that in Sporting Rifle Jason McKellar (a Junior) won the 3-Position as an Expert; and just missed the Prone Championship (as a Sharpshooter) by a few X's (Steven Spinney took that with 600x53). A fine performance Jason! And in the ISSF matches Greg Sych repeated - winning all of the .22 matches as he did last year.
Congratulations to all the winners; the trophies will be going out soon and you should all have them before the end of May. (There may be a delay on the bronze medals - we ran out and have more on order, but I'm not sure when they will arrive. In the LSBA matches we still owe bronze medals to Kostas Kapothanasis, John Newman, and Rob Jones.) I thank Bonnie Gauthier for all her work in organizing the match; and Steven Spinney and Bill Szulga for co-ordinating things in Scarborough and Ottawa.
The outdoor season started with the Polar Bear match at Peterborough - and the schedule for the rest of the season is on the CSSA web site. The next match is a new one, with Beachburg hosting a tournament. I would like to encourage everyone to get there if possible - they have a great range and are a great bunch of people. (They are new to running tournaments, so please bear with them if any problems come up.) Our outdoor Provincials are also at Beachburg July 5 & 6
