When I go shooting
what should I bring?

I am often asked this question whenever someone is going to go shooting with the ORA for the first time. In general, my answer is “everything”, even then you will forget something that will seem crucial at the time of need (i.e., toilet paper).

My basic advise is: if you think you _might_ need it then bring it. Keep in mind that you have to carry it (one shooter, one kit).

Good ideas

    • your lunch and drink
    • extra to drink during the day if it is warm
    • snacks if you are so inclined (chocolate bar, etc.)
    • something moisture proof to lay on if it is damp as you will be laying on a grass berm in an open field
    • rain gear (rain suit, waterproof footware...) (also a good idea to bring dry clothes in the car, esp. socks)
    • hat, gloves(depends on weather)
    • binoculars (when scoring) or spotting scope, etc.
    • clipboard, or small stiff board and clips
    • small plastic bag for clipboard, etc. (large zip-lock ?)
    • pencils (short, not too sharp)
    • kleenex (for crying over your score :-)
    • something to carry your extra junk in
