The annual Kingston Match was held over the weekend, 18-19 September. Although not reaching the giddy heights of 15-20 years ago, the entry was almost double that of last year - which is an encouraging sign. It is hoped to hold an Introductory Day at Kingston next year, as well as booking some weekend dates for practice. David Steed will be working with Bill Hall, and the Base, to get this much needed activity underway.
As always, the range was in immaculate condition. The weather was just about perfect on both days - cool and sunny, with a moderate breeze from the front. There were quite marked and fast changes in angle, which caused problems for some, including your faithful scribe.
Bob Pastor (right of photo) won the F Class, and Des Vamplew (left) the TR Grand Aggregate. Class winners included Bill Molnar (E), Gary Bendik (SS) and Jim Thompson (F(F)). Awards were presented by Bill Hall (center). It was good to see John Tetlow back in action at the last range, and to have Mike and Mary Walker, and Penny Hall, drop in to say hello on Sunday afternoon.
