On Labour Day Weekend, ORA history was made. The first ORA match to be held at a private range facility was held. It was a Service Conditions 3-Gun Match, with service rifle matches, precision rifle matches and service pistol matches. It was held at MilCun Marksmanship Complex, near Minden, Ontario.

The ORA Service Conditions Chair, Tim Kagetsu, worked for several weeks ahead of the match getting targets, ranges and administration details organized and in place. Here is Tim preparing for the matches:

The first day of the match, the competitors drove on a 2-wheel track through Ontario wilderness, until they reached the MilCun facility:

The competitors gathered in the yard for the competition briefing.

On Saturday morning, the first series of matches were the Service Pistol matches, held on Maple Tree Range

On Saturday afternoon, the competition moved to Hill Top Range for the Precision Rifle matches. The first order of business was a visit to the butts, where a presentation was made by Tim Kagetsu on behalf of the Service Conditions competitors to Keith Cunningham (MilCun):

Then the competitors moved to the mounds to fire the Precision Rifle matches:

On Saturday night, the competitors enjoyed a BBQ at the cabin. Lynn Boynton volunteered to help with the BBQ and was immediately promoted to Head Chef. (Thank you, Lynn!)

On Sunday morning, the official match pictures were taken, first with competitors only and then with friends & family:

Finally, awards were presented, with Keith Cunninham taking the overall individual aggregate:
