Here are the results from the 06/17 match. We had rather an interesting day, cold, hot, calm and windy. This seemed to cause a few of the regular top performers to be off of their stride. Cameron did not seem to be affected though and managed to stride through it all to end up in front. This must be due to his spotter I think. Cindy too kept her cool and did her part to bring the Smith 'A' team solidly on top. Congratulations to Both! Now if the Kindersquad had only filled in a team form the results might have been different.
The morning's matches seemed to go a little bit quicker with the modified method. Unfortunately though we still got off to a really slow start because of the same ole two or three stragglers. There is no reason for being late, these are competitions not practice sessions. If you wish to compete show up on time, if not, show up late. Do you have suggestions about how to speed things up? If so I'd like to hear them because to me much of the time it seems that paint dries faster than these matches proceed.

Last Minute Course Of Fire Changes
At this match there were several requests to change the course of fire. Unless there is an extremely convincing reason to do so I will not change the course of fire on the range. Most of the requests were to move the plate match to the end of the day or drop it entirely. The plate match will be staying in the course of fire for the rest of this season and it will stay as the match immediately after lunch. This match is an interesting test of your team's ability to engage a target with a cold barrel and without sighting shots. The match is also shot prior to you shooting the 600 deliberate and obtaining a 600 yard zero for the day. If this is too much for you or you find it a "waste of ammo" then let the organizer know and you can then be free to volunteer for the butts party to help speed things up.
Prizes or No?
What exactly do you want to see in the way of prizes for the monthly matches and the championship match? I made the change in the prize structure for this past match based upon admittedly slight input because I receive very little feedback about these matches. My understanding is that you would like to have a good prize table at the Championship. Now I'm hearing that some are dissatisfied with simple recognition of their achievement and would like to get more than a certificate. Do you want plaques & medals at every match? If so would you be willing to pay double the match fee? Speak up...
2000 Championship T-shirts
I would like to change the graphics for the Championship T-shirt this year. If you have any good ideas please let me know. This year I plan on either ordering a very limited number of T-shirts or by making them available through preregistration only.
Your Input Welcomed
As always, I welcome your input and thoughts about how to improve the matches. BUT, I don't what to just hear whining without suggestions about how to resolve the "problem". Nor do I wish to hear all the whining on the range about changing the course of fire. If you don't wish to let me know your thoughts or run the match yourself then don't whine about how I run it. Without input from you I will run the matches solely as I see fit
