Mons Club Championship 2000 by Mike Hockings
What a beautiful day for a match, clear skies only light wind, not too hot. If you were not there you certainly missed out. Attendance this year was down considerably from last year and the weather was 110% better. However low attendance seems to be the norm at matches this year for some reason. Interestingly enough the major drop seems to be coming from TR. This year we had 20 shooters of which 9 were F-Class. Last year with 24 shooters only 8 were F-Class. Where are the TR shooters going?
The top TR shooter was Stan W. and the top F-Class was none other than Norm Barber. Stan shot very well indeed and beat out last year’s champion. Here is Stan with 3rd place Stephanie and 1st F Norm in the background.
There are still a couple of practice dates as well as the Mons Club fun match before the season closes. I hope to see you there.

Above, left to right, Tony, Ric and Les all worrying about their scores. Below, Norm, not worrying, just shooting another V.
