2000 Field Practical Match Results

Congratulations to Ed and Lynn Boynton for winning the cup for a second time.  The couple/Team won the cup two years ago, as well. In addition to the team win, Ed won the individual score, and Lynn placed third. Well Done.

Ian Crookston and Henry Gordillo were the second place team, and Henry the second individual. This came as a nice surprise and redeems them from the shame of being singled out in Richard Munderich's near-slanderous "Tactical Shooter" magazine article two years ago.

The third place team award went to Pat Cade and Rory McDonnell. Pat also won the certificate for the highest score on the most distant target. He did it with a HPS.

The range was opened up to four lanes this year, and I think it helped the match run more smoothly. I sort of regret that I didn't take advantage of the full field. Two years ago we figured that the distant target was around 800 meters or 900 yards. This year I figure we cut back to 700 meters. (According to my map) I included targets closer than 200 yards for variety, and the "sighter" at probably less than 50 yards
